Device SDK
Coming soon
The Device SDK is the other half of the OhrTech SDK. Where the Management API runs on your servers and manages many devices, the Device SDK is an Android library for your app, on the device: it lets your app work with the OhrTech Agent on the device it runs on.
With it, your app will be able to change device settings, manage network and power, lock the screen to one app, reboot on a schedule and install its own updates.
Which one do I need?
Section titled “Which one do I need?”| Management API | Device SDK | |
|---|---|---|
| Runs | On your servers, scripts and desktop tools | Inside your app, on the device |
| Acts on | Any device in your fleets | The device it runs on |
| Talks to | api.ohrtech.net |
The OhrTech Agent, on the device |
| Typical jobs | Help desks, inventory sync, reports, alerts, fleet-wide changes | Kiosk and single-app setups, your app’s own updates, on-device settings |
| Status | Available | Coming soon |
Many products use both: the app on the device uses the Device SDK, and your back office uses the Management API.
Its documentation will be published here. Questions in the meantime: [email protected].
